New book release from Fčisean nan Gŕidheal


Hot off the presses is the latest book from Fčisean nan Gŕidheal. Fčis Lochabair agus Fčis nan Garbh Chrěochan 'Ar Daoine is Ar Důthchas' is one of a series of booklets (produced by Fčisean nan Gŕidheal and designed by Ronan Martin) as part of an archiving project where Fčis participants are collecting and recording songs, tunes, stories and folklore from their own areas.

Associates to build major new website for the Applecross Landscape Partnership Scheme


Ronan Martin Associates have won the contract to design and build a major new website for the Applecross Land Partnership Scheme in northwest Scotland. The area, part of Wester Ross, is one of the most striking in Scotland, and also one of the country's most important cultural regions.

The Applecross Landscape Partnership was recently awarded Ł1.03 million to restore historic buildings, re-build drystone dykes and promote Gaelic language and culture, and we are delighted to be involved with such important work.

Heritage book launched in Inverness


Ronan Martin has been working with Fčisean nan Gŕidheal since spring 2009 to produce a series of booklets of Highland tales and folklore. It's been a fascinating project and the latest booklet from the Bonar bridge area (Fčis a’ Chaolais) was launched on the 19th of June 2010. We're now almost at the stage of starting the final booklet in the series which will feature Aonghas Grant, the legendary left handed fiddler from Lochaber.
